Slate Documentation: Create an Inbox-Enabled Role
Navigate to your User Roles screen in Slate (/manage/database/security/?view=role)
Click "New Role"
Name new role "WB Yield Inbox
Grant this role the "Inbox" permission.
Click "Save"
Slate Documentation: Assign Role Users
Navigate to your "Users" screen in Slate (/manage/database/security/?view=active)
For each user who should have access to this inbox, grant them access to this role and save. This should include any WB user who has access to the instance.
Slate Documentation: Create an Inbox Group
Navigate to your Inbox Group screen in Slate (/manage/inbox/group)
Click "New Group"
Configure your new group
Name: "WB Yield Inbox"
Default Role: "WB Yield Inbox"
Slate Documentation: Creating Service Accounts with Deliver Configuration
Navigate to your Deliver Configuration screen in Slate (/manage/deliver/config)
Click "Add Account"
Choose "SMS/Voice"
Select a Country from the list.
If you select United States or Canada, you can enter specifications in the Area Code, Contains Digits, and Near ZIP Code fields. Otherwise, you can specify digits only.
Select a number that most closely matches your preferences. This number appears as the caller ID for all outgoing texts and to which return texts will be sent.
Enter the confirmation text in the browser pop-up.
Select OK. Your new number appears in the list.
Status: Active
Name: "WB Yield Inbox"
Slate Credits Account: Assign the service account to a Slate Credits account.
Inbox Group: Assign "WB Yield Inbox"
Click "Save"
Slate Documentation: Automate Inbox Assignments
Navigate to your Rules screen in Slate (/manage/database/rules/)
Click New Rule.
Enter the following configurations in the popup window:
Name: "WB Yield Inbox: Assign Staff Assigned"
Base: Inbox
Type: Assignment
Trigger: Upon Message Receipt Only
Folder: Inbox
Exclusivity Group: WB Yield Message Assignment
Priority: 1
Click "Save"
Configure the appropriate filters:
Add Join to Message
Add Join to Person
Add Join to Staff Assigned
Add Subquery Filter - Set Aggregate to Exists and Select Staff Assigned Full Name as the Export
Add Filter - Role - Select "WB Yield Inbox"
Configure the appropriate action:
Role: "WB Yield Inbox"
User Action: "Assign User by Field" - Field - "Select Staff Assigned"
Click "Save"
Copy the rule
Rename copy to "WB Yield Inbox: Assign Default"
Adjust priority to 2
Remove all filters
Change "User Action" to "Assign User"
Choose a user who should respond to messages from ambiguous numbers
Click "Save"
Change both rules to Active
Test the number and inbox assignment rules by texting to and from the newly provisioned phone number. Ensure that the message arrives into Slate and onto your cell phone as expected.
Please allow up to 15 minutes for inbox message rules to assign after message receipt. Impersonate other users and ensure that the new inbox is visible to them.
